We
are pleased to announce the second Cold Spring Harbor meeting
on Molecular Pathways in Organ Development & Disease,
which will begin on Tuesday evening, April 17 and end at noon
on Saturday, April 21, 2012. The specific goals of this conference
are to bring together a diverse group of scientists studying
various molecular, cellular and genetic aspects of organogenesis
in vertebrate systems. This meeting is intended to provide a
format for the exchange of ideas and information, to discuss
the latest research findings and technical advances, and to
facilitate the intellectual unification of research on vertebrate
organogenesis and related disease states in diverse systems.
The
Cold Spring Harbor meeting will promote interactions and discussions
between leading scientists and physician-scientists working
on different vertebrate model systems, different organs, and
different pathological conditions including but not limited
to:

The
format of the meeting will include eight oral sessions and two
poster sessions. Each oral session will include invited speakers
and speakers selected from submitted abstracts. For this reason,
abstracts from accomplished junior and senior investigators
are warmly invited. The abstracts should focus on new and unpublished
data. The organizers will select abstracts for oral or poster
presentations. The status (talk/poster) of abstracts will be
posted on our web site (below) as soon as decisions have been
made. We have applied for funds from government and industry
to partially support graduate students and postdocs.
We
hope to see you at Cold Spring Harbor in April.
This
conference may be supported in part by funds provided by:

The Society
for Developmental Biology has agreed to provide a limited number
of partial scholarships preferentially earmarked for SDB members whose abstracts
are selected as talks or posters at the meeting. Please provide details of
SDB membership in writing to meetings@cshl.edu.
CSHL has
funds to provide partial scholarships for individuals who are US citizens/permanent
residents from minority
groups under-represented in the life sciences. Please
provide justification in writing to meetings@cshl.edu and state your
financial needs. Preference will be given to those applying who submit
abstracts to the meeting.
